About the Colloquium
Medicine and Humanities share a common research subject - The human being. The basic and fundamental differences are related to methodologies and research strategies that may either lead to similar or to very different conclusions. The colloquium examines how both disciplines deal with various issues, inquires about similarities of conclusions, and wonders about ways in
which cross-disciplinary differences may enrich and increase the accuracy of research outcome.

Galit Wellner
Galit studies digital technologies and their inter-relations with humans. Galit was the vice-chair of Israeli UNESCO’s Information for All Program (IFAP), a board member of the FTTH Council Europe, and a founder of a startup.
Before that, she worked for hi-tech companies and startups in strategic marketing. Galit holds LLB and LLM from Tel Aviv University, and a certified software developer degree from IDF’s Mamram.

Noam Shomron
Noam has received his Bachelors degree in Biotechnology; his Masters degree in Gene Therapy; and his graduate studies in Genetics. As a Post-Doctorate affiliate at MIT in Cambridge, USA, Noam gained expertise in combining high-throughout data with computational analysis in order to decipher gene regulation in health and disease. Today Noam heads the Functional Genomics Laboratory at Tel Aviv University’s Medical School, as well as serving as the Editor-in-Cheif of "Geneitcs Research" a Cambridge University Press Journal.
